It is the same old debate with 325 and 330. Very little difference between 325 and 328. 328= plain jane and 330=bigger engine and more to play with depending on options. 330 is older but alot of people dumped them for the 335. They are probably a better deal since they are cheaper these days. Just my 2 cents. There isn't a big weigh difference between similarly equipped 328i and 335i, it's something like less than 125lbs. The 328i's engine is smaller and weight distribution favors the smaller engine as nearly all it's weight sits behind the front axle line. That adds to the 328i's transitional handling and ability to roll better around it's axis. Car 3:03 E46 318ti manual. Report post. Posted December 9, 2013. 325i and 328i are the same. A bit bigger then the 318i stuff. The 330i brakes are bigger again. They all bolt straight on bar the 330i rear brakes. You need to use the 330i trailing arms. I am running 330i fronts with 328i rears on my e36.

The difference is that if you drive a 325i, you are a cheapskate that can't afford a newer and improved 328i. They are both E36s, the differences stem from the fact they were manufactured in different years. There is no difference until the 328i and all other E36s had the facelift in 1997. The detail, well you can look that up for yourself.

While the 325i, 328i, and 330i are excellent choices that combine practicality and driving pleasure, thereโ€™s no denying the fact that the 335i is the best of the lot. Yes, itโ€™s a more problematic machine to own, but it set the directional foundation for the 3-Series cars that followed.
2007 BMW 3 Series 328i 2dr Convertible (3.0L 6cyl 6M) Between the wife and I, we have owned an E30, E36, E46 and this E93 BMW. As with the others, when it works correctly, it is fantastic.
