Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013) DPF Regeneration. So have had issues with the DPF for a little while now since having a new turbo & throttle body fitted. The independant who did the work were pretty good and they did ring me when they had the car for the work to say they were having problems clearing the fault and sorting it out. A DPF regeneration is not capable of burning off the Ash buildup in the DPF, literally meaning a DPF regeneration will NEVER completely clear the filter of all exhaust matter. The negative effect of emissions “fix” on the DPF filter should see its lifespan cut in half.

Had a DPF in my last 2 cars and not had a single problem with either. Never had the light come on (except once when I had a pressure sensor in the exhaust fail so I do not count that) in over 5 years of driving a car with a DPF.
